Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, handed over a symbolic certificate of humanitarian aid to Nicolas Isla, World Health Organization representative for Global Health Security, today (15 August). This official hand-over precedes a convoy to be sent off to the military territory of Iraq, to Mosul. The humanitarian aid funded by Official Development Aid of the Slovak Republic (SlovakAid) consists of medical devices for anesthesiologists and servo ventilators from a Slovak producer, sleeping bags, towels, blankets and beds from the stocks of the Slovak Interior Ministry. The humanitarian aid has also been joined by the private sector with things for children. In Mosul, Iraq, more than two million refugees and military victims are in need; hospitals have been devastated and medical staff is helped by international organizations.
Today (27 July) Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, together with the representatives of Bratislava municipality and ambassadors of the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of India, the Republic of Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam opened the first year of the Asian weekend.
State Secretary Parízek with Ambassador-Designate of Switzerland on fostering Slovak-Swiss relations
Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, received today (26 July) Alexander Hoffet, Ambassador-Designate of the Swiss Confederation to Slovakia at the occasion of presenting credentials. State Secretary Parízek highlighted the level and intensity of bilateral relations in the political and economic areas with regular political dialogue at the ministerial level gradually developing, and reciprocal visits of presidents of both countries having taken place with the presence of the entrepreneurial community.
Today, 19 July 2018, at the meeting of OSCE Permanent Council and in the presence of the representatives of all participating and partner states, Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary and Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs for Slovakia’s OSCE Chairmanship, presented priority areas of the Slovak chairmanship of the OSCE that the country will assume on 1 January 2019.
The Slovak Republic presents ratification documents for the International Investment Bank and the International Bank for Economic Cooperation in Moscow today
Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, held inter-ministerial consultations in Moscow and presented the Russian partners with two important ratification documents today (17 July 2018). Parízek´s talks with Vladimir Titov, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of the Russian Federation, summarized the state of play within political, parliamentary and economic cooperation, its legal and contractual basis, prospects for education and grant programs, and development of cultural and historical activities. The consultations were held as part of the plan for 2017-2018.
